Publication Services
This encompasses all the services needed to complete your book journey. Because we price services separately, you will know how much you’re paying for each service. It’s not muddled in a “package.” We supply an ISBN and barcode along with the Soul Sonshine, LLC imprint as the publisher. The book must meet quality standards. However, because we assign a book coach to each author, we can help the author edit as needed. The price for publishing your book depends on the state of the book and how much has already been drafted and edited. However, if you compare our price with other estimates, we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the value you receive for the price!
Coaching to Completion
Do you have a book rattling around inside your head, wanting to come out? Our one-on-one book coaching service will guide you in the process of getting your book down on paper as a first draft. We will give you helpful tips when you get stuck. We will also review your draft with you and suggest improvements to meet Soul Sonshine, LLC’s quality standards. Coaching to Completion includes, at a minimum, one video call a week and unlimited text and email messages. Let us take you to a new level of confidence in your ability to write a book. It's hard to self-publish, but even more important is the quality and credibility your book will gain from being published by Soul Sonshine, LLC.
We offer four types of à la carte editing services for your book—content editing, stylistic editing, copy editing, and proofreading, which are defined here. At the same time, we will ensure it meets the requirements of book printers and distributors like Amazon and others. The price to format a book depends on certain variables — the number of pages, style of formatting desired, book genre, number of illustrations, and other special features. Illustrations and Book Covers
We will locate the right artist for your illustrations and book cover. We have a database of more than 100 artists who have been pre-vetted and pre-approved. The author will have the opportunity to complete a form to help identify the artist that most closely aligns with the author’s criteria. An Author’s Advocate art consultant will work with the author to understand the author’s vision and communicate it to the illustrator in artistic terminology. He will use his knowledge of composition, media, styles, processes, and techniques. This approach can greatly improve the quality of the artwork and speed up the timeline by avoiding the need for multiple revisions. The price of illustrations is dependent upon the artist selected for the project and the complexity of the artwork.
Audio Books
We will guide you through the process of creating your own audio book, supplying tips on how to do your own narration, equipment needed, recording location tips, and other guidance. If you prefer to have a professional narrate your book, we can help you locate the best voice talent for your genre. Whether you choose to do your own narration or work with a professional, we will collaborate with our audio book producer. His job is to edit the files, create the right format for each distributor, and upload the files for purchase. Retailers include Amazon Audible, Author’s Republic, Apple Books, Overdrive (for public libraries), and other retailers.
Marketing Services
We can help you market your book by supplying ads for social media sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Quora, YouTube, and others in both video and static ad formats. We will also guide you in locating and selecting the best book promo sites for your genre. Marketing collateral, such as banners, signs, posters, business cards, and flyers to feature your books at fairs and book signings can be designed and sent to your local print shop. We also have contact lists of hundreds of book bloggers and podcasters we can share with you. We can give you tips for best practices and techniques when being interviewed and an email template for contacting book bloggers. If you’d like an author website to entice customers to learn more about you and your books, we can create one for you.
